Reminder:  Virtual Palm Parade Videos are due on Sunday!
What is the Virtual Palm Parade?
Children and youth of all ages are invited to participate in a virtual palm parade.  Parents, grandparents, children and youth: To participate, please pick up a palm branch Sunday morning or anytime next week from the church office.  Then record a video of the children/youth waving the palm branch.  Please smile and look like you’re having fun.  Video length should be about 10 seconds.  Important Note: Record the video with your phone or ipad horizontal and NOT vertical.  Videos must be submitted to lagrangefirstumc@gmail.com by March 21.   The videos (without sound) will be compiled and used with special music on Palm Sunday in both the digital and in person services.  We will not have an in-person palm parade.  If you have questions, please talk with Pastor Andrea.

Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration at the Lighthouse!

When: March 21 from 4-6pm

Where: Pioneer Estates Office Yard, right across from the Lighthouse

Who & What: Everyone is invited to participate in this community event.  Come get to know our Lighthouse neighbors! There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for kids, Easter crafts for children, door prize for adults, and free boxed meal from Subway.  Be there on time to be part of the Egg Hunt.

If it rains, come to the Lighthouse to get a bag of filled eggs, free boxed meal, and craft packets.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:  We still need volunteers to spread eggs across the yard and volunteers to help during the community event.  If you are willing to help in one or more of these areas, let Pastor Andrea know asap.

The Outreach Committee is starting a new outreach for our congregation to be meeting the students at Pioneer Estates as they get off the bus on Wednesdays 3:40-4:00 to give them a snack and some smiles. If you would be able to help organize this activity or would like to “Meet the Bus” on a Wednesday contact Anita at the church or Kris Dickinson @ 463-4341.

PRESCHOOL: We are looking for 20 of the cardboard egg cartons and 15 milk jugs. We were wondering if the congregation could help us out and donate them for an Easter craft. Note: egg cartons need to be the cardboard ones so we can paint them. I can place a tote upstairs near the women’s restroom for people to put the items in. We need items by March 23rd.The deadline for submitting announcements is Wednesdays by 3:00 PM. No exceptions!
